The Convoluted Touch Between Nature and Man

Growing up my days were spent outside. Catching bugs; playing in the dirt; collecting fallen sticks; filled my time. A love and respect grew through my experiences with the outdoors and the beauty it holds. With age and the growing awareness of the world and society, an emphasis of my deep connection with nature began to guide me as a person. The overall disconnected course and view society has with the natural world ignites my passion for conservation and honoring what the Earth has provided us. The power and importance of having a positive connection to nature has become overlooked overtime with the growing advances of industrial technologies; and the lack of respect these advancements have of nature are causing great harm to a world that's thrived since the beginning of its time. My relationship with nature powers all mediums of my art as I find it a way to give nature a voice; to express the power holds and our disconnection is killing it.

This project, "The Convoluted Touch Between Nature and Man" is to further explore the intersections that occur between humans and our environment. The work is meant to focus on how the natural world is being recreated with man-made objects and invite the viewer to be aware of how they touch this Earth.
